I'm basically wondering if this card will fit in my case;

Gigabyte GTX970 WindForce 3 OC 4GB - (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-gigabyte-gtx-970-windforce-3-oc-7010mhz-gddr5-gpu-1114mhz-boost-1253mhz-1664-cores-3x-dp-1x-dvi-)

This one as well as I haven't decided yet on which one I'm getting;

Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 GAMING - (http://www.scan.co.uk/products/4gb-gigabyte-gtx-970-g1-gaming-7010mhz-gddr5-gpu-1178mhz-boost-1329mhz-1664-cores-3x-dp-1x-hdmi-1x-d)

The case I have is Cooler Master HAF 912 - (http://us.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/case/mid-tower/haf-912.html)

Reason I'm asking is I'm finding inconsistent dimensions for these cards. I can just barely fit my EVGA GTX 780 ACX Classified (http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=03G-P4-3788-KR)

I am pretty certain it will fit. That is a good size case and those graphics cards are meant to fit into that size case. These companies know what case dimensions are and they design the GPU's to fit into them. Go for it.

The max GPU length your case can support is 270mm.

The Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming is 312mm long, while the Windforce 3 version is 310mm long.

So, No , it can't fit. I'm surprised that it can't fit actually. I found these measurements from the Gigabyte website and the CM website, so it should be accurate.

I thought that might be the case (no pun intended), could you recommend a case that can fit those cards and is roughly equivocal to the HAF 912 that isn't too expensive? thanks for all the help so far.

Yep I figured I'd see if the hdd cage could be removed (thought it would require a chisel and power drill) but turns out it can simply be removed with a screwdriver, sorry for wasting your time with this.
