Hi all

I recently installed Alien Isolation and when I went to run the game my graphics card kind of cut out. It's not a crash that requires a reboot or anything like that, it's more like it stops sending video and audio to my TV (which I use as my display)

When I hit Alt+F4 the game is killed and my graphics card goes back to normal (I get video and audio back)

This could be an Alien Isolation issue, but it's happened on other games in the past (I don't remember which) so it may be something else.

Can anyone help me please?

Specs:
Windows 8.1 with the latest updates
Radeon HD 7800 with the latest drivers
Direct X 11

I'm not sure if you need to know anything else.

Thanks.

Sounds like an issue in catalyst, what are your global settings. A screenshot would work best for this.

I always assume your not overclocking your graphics card but please inform me if you are.

Thank you for responding.

No, I'm not overclocking.

I'm sorry, I can't see where to find Global Settings in the Catalyst Control Center. I've taken a screenshot of the Gaming settings. If this isn't necessary, please let me know.

Thanks again.

Try using the alt+tab fix. Many folks are having the same issue. As for the other games can't say. Basically after the screen goes black press alt then tab and the game will go to windowed mode and change the resolution to one that fits your monitor.
