Hi,

We have RDX backup tapes for our small business.
We have Windows 2008 r2, where we use it for DNS, DHCP, Domain + more (I believe this is what is called the "System state").
I looking to be able to backup:
-The system state to each one of our backup tapes
-Backup files in an encrypted format.

We currently run a rotation schedule for the backup (2 days, 3 weeks and 2 month tapes).

The idea is, that if we have a complete disaster, we can put the latest tape into the drive and be up and running.

I have tried a few different backup softwares but cant seem to get the right one. Any suggestions?

Have you tried the Backup feature within WS2008R2? It might meet your needs as is....

Unfortunately, It is not encrypted and it doesn't support tapes either.

I think Acronis backup software will do it, but its £750!! For a small business that it quite a lot
