Hi. Recently my Dell has started making a rubbing noise when switched on or printing. I'm presuming either the rollers need cleaning, or is it something more serious. It still functions but if the was a vehicle I'd have a mechanic check it. Does anyone have any suggestions? BC

The rollers do wear out over time. And a cleaning done in the manner the manual suggests can't hurt.

Depending on the age, you might still have a warranty, and Dell lets you look that up under Support on their main site. Just type in your printer's service tag and you're good to go.

Many local 'mom and pop' stores advertise are 'around the corner' that are 'certified' by DELL to service these / other printers. I would either look up Printer Servicing and your ZIP code, or if it is under 'contract' (as a business) where you got it from you can get a 'service call / drop off' for repair.

Hi guys
Thanks for the intel, I'm on the t'other side of the pond so its P. Codes over here, and its five plus years old, but no heavy duty wear. I'll see what's on offer.
Cheers from Blighty.
