Overclock Corsair platinum 2133 to 2400

Hello folks and hope you're well


I am a newbie here and this the first post here, hope I get the help.

I have Corsair Rams Platinum 2133 and need to overclock them to 2400Mhz.

Here is my system specs:

i7 2600K overclocked to 4.8 with voltage of 1.450, Ai overclock tuner is X.M.P (profile#1 DDR3-2133 timming 9-11-10-27-2 / 1.50v)

Asus Maximus IV extreme z68.

Asus GTX680 DCU2T 2GB.

Corsair Platinum 2133Mhz/9-11-10-27-2./1.50v.

The memory frequency selected is 2133Mhz.

Internal PLL Overvoltage is enabled

Hyberthreading off

Enhanced intel speedstep technology is disable

i would try an 11-13-13-31 @ 1.65v @ 2400MHz if that works you be able to get a 10-21-21-31 @ 1.65v Give ether one of those a try.

No luck, I got black screen in both and fail to overclick,

Additional informations:


The bios version is 1208.

(More informations from the bios added from the CPU overclock tutorial).

In the Digi +VRM/POWER Control :

VCore PWM mode ------> Extreme.
VCore Load -line calibration ------> 75% (suitable for 4.8-5.2G).
VCore switching freq---------> Manual.
VRM Fixed frequency mode------> 450.
VCore phase control-------> Extreme.
VCore over current protection------> 100%.

The ram might not be able to handle it. I haven't been to happy with corsairs ram OC'ing ability as of lately. Its usually what you buy is what you get in speed from them. Had a set of 1866MHz ram from them that could not do 2133MHz no matter how loose a timing i set, bought a set of Mushkin 1600MHz and OK'ed them to 2200MHz. Mushkin and G.Skill both use the same chips in their ram and are very good manufactures, they are also always cheaper then Corsair ram at the same MHz but have tighter timings then corsair.


If you have the money try and pick up some G.skill or mushkin 2400MHz CAS10 ram
