Hi,

I've recently inherited a Server which I'm told is RAID 5 + HOT SPARE.

Physically on the blade, it has 3 x 2TB drives and 2 x 600GB drives, Disk Management shows it as the link below...

http://RAID Array

Could someone help me identify exactly what type of RAID this is please?

Thanks.

What kind of raid controller? Surely there is some kind of software for it.

PERC H710 Mini - But no Software installed, which I also found odd.

Can you boot into the PERC bios and check from there before booting into the OS?

Off hand it looks more like drive C is in RAID 1 with the two 600GB drives. I don't even see a third 2TB drive.

It's currently sustaining quite a large business so booting into BIOS isn't possible at the moment.

I too assumed something similar...the third 2TB is definitely there though. In fact there's another Server above it with the exact same physical setup and same disk management

I suppose without booting the bios it's going to be difficult!!

I know you said there is no raid specicifc software installed, but is Is the Dell OpenManager installed? It should at the very least be able to show your raid configuration.
