I am buying all the parts and building it myself. Here is what I'm planing to buy, any modifications or suggestions welcome. Never built a PC from scratch before, not too difficult I hope? It all comes out to about $1250 USD.

Specs:
-CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz)
-PSU: XFX PRO750W Core Edition 80+ Bronze
-Motherboard :ASUS Micro ATX GRYPHON Z97
-RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB Kit (2x4GB) 1866MHz DDR3
-GPU: MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G
-SSD: Kingston Digital 240GB V300
-Optical Drive: LG Electronics 24X
-Chassis: Corsair Carbide Series Black 300R
-CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Solution

Cable mgmt in a 300R is super easy. Love it. I've got 3 HDDs and a SSD so I needed decent behind mobo cable mgmt and the 300R didn't fail. Cables tuck away well behind mobo and HDD cage. I chose the case for good cable mgmt, great airflow, and great price. As far as SSD, the 840EVO is solid.

If you get a mid...
Pretty good build! My thoughts are below....

CPU - An i5 is all you need for gaming. Keep the i7 if your known workload ventures elsewhere...
MB - Overkill, but that is a nice board.
GPU - The EVGA below has a higher factory speed (overclocked from the factory).
SSD - There are better performers for the price. Look toward the MX100 below or a Samsung 840 Evo.

Few questions. Will I be able to add a second GPU in the future with your suggested board? Also I play games like BF4 that are CPU instensive, and I do some video editing as well will this CPU suffice?

So far you guys haven't made too many changes. Guess I'm on the right track. We chose the same case :). How is cable management on the Corsair 300R? Probably going to change my SSD for the Samsung 840EVO 250GB as well.

If you get a mid tower then no need for Micro ATX board. Just get a good ATX one and enjoy all the extra space and ease to work with.
