Hi,

For my first build I purchased a Rosewell Blackhawk ATX case, and a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo CPU Cooler. The problem I run into now is the CPU cooler will not fit in the case with the Side fan installed. Poor planning on my part. Have a few questions, and long drawn out answers are appreciated :p

What I am wondering is which is the better course of action to take,

1) RMA the CPU cooler and search for a lower profile design,

What are the benefits of a side mounted fan? I assume it will push air onto the GPU (EVGA GTX 970) But If I do not overclock the card, is this needed?

2) Remove the Side fan and relocated it somewhere else in the case.
Where would be an optimum place to move it too? Anywhere else it would benefit the GPU?

Thanks,

I recommend the #2, take out the side fan, because the side fan only use for cooling the GPU, and the gtx970 will run cool that we know from the review. And you have enough fans ( two front, one rear, and one top), just like this http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb322/alexChook/Com... make sure you have the balance CFM for intake and exhaust.

I agree with the above but with some positive pressure.
