Help getting FIFA 15 to run

I'm trying to get FIFA 15 to run on my kids' computer but have been having problems. To start with, the game wouldn't even boot, but I figured out it was due to an unsupported video card and since replacing it with the RADEON HD 7770 1G, the game launches. It does however stutter terribly, no matter how much I lower the quality.

Here are my basics:

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: P43-ES3G
BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @ 2.60GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11

Is there any setting, anywhere, that I can change to get the game running smoothly on low quality? I've tried the Radeon Pro with all sorts of settings, but it only made matters worse.

If this is a lost case, would upgrading the CPU help? Is it as simple as replacing it with a decent one, or do I need a new motherboard as well for something like the Intel Core i3-4130, which I'm told would handle FIFA 15 ok?

Thanks for any help!

Kinda has the look of a CPU bottleneck, but I'm afraid that's not everything. The 7770 is a good enough card; not "maxed-out" level good, but not rubbish either. You might have to change the power supply too, as it may be barely enough to keep up. Can you please state what's your current one?

Also, have you just tried lowering settings? Or is resolution set to minimum too?

Continuing on the bottleneck theory, you can start by testing that in a very simple way. Download and install MSI Afterburner (RivaTuner statistics server is unnecessary, so you can skip it), and leave it running; start Fifa and play a bit, even if it stutters.
Once you're done, close down Fifa and look at the graphs in Afterburner's right window. If CPU is almost always between 85% and 100% usage while GPU isn't, it's a bottleneck.

Should this be the case, yes, you need a CPU and a motherboard replacement, as the motherboard's socket must match the CPU's pinout.
However, keep in mind that it would mean changing memory modules as well. Your motherboard supports DDR2, so you won't be able to use them with a newer DDR3 supporting motherboard.
If you changed that much, a new power supply could be needed as well, depending on your current one. In the end, you would be changing the entire system...

But it's not over yet. To "add insult to injury", the game supposedly has issues with random systems (I've read of people with i7 and GTX 770 systems stuttering as bad as people with a system similar to yours, and at same settings too...). Upgrading the current one to something better could fix the issue, but doesn't ensure so....
