Hi,

I am just wondering, do I need a higher wattage PSU for a dual SLi GTX 970 overclock more than 1329 mhz + an i5-4670K at 4.6 ghz OC.

Currently using an XFX 750W with the cpu at 4.6 ghz, and a 770 Lightning at 1325 mhz. If I were to SLi a 970 and OC at at 1400mhz+ should I op for a stronger PSU?, I have been looking at a cheap SuperNova 850W G2 from EVGA and sell my old PSU, I would then only be adding 10-15 quid more (if I sell off my current psu) if I was to go for the SN 850G2 from EVGA.

I am just not sure whats enough, I also tested the wattage using http://www.extreme.outervision.com/

and got Min 546 and Max 596W (but thats only with whole system with cpu oc / no options to put voltage for gpu oc)

Any information is appreciated,

Thanks in Advance

Maxwell architecture is very power efficient. your XFX will suffice. you dont need a psu upgrade!

The 750w XFX is more than enough for your needs , nice choice.
