I just upgraded my processor, motherboard and ram. I started up my computer and everything ran fine, i installed my Motherboard drivers and everything was working. However whenever it hit the 16 hour mark the monitor went blank, everything was still running, fans and all ( Even the HDD light was still blinking) but the video was out and i was forced to do a hard shutdown. rebooted and it worked for another few days than it happend again.

At first i thought it was just windows acting up but it happened when i tried to install linux too. Someone help please, i left all my specs below plus what i upgraded from in parentheses.

Specs:
MOBO: MSI 970 Gaming (From a generic board i got for free)
RAM: Corsair DDR3 1333MHZ (From DDR2 800 MHZ)
CPU: FX-6300 (From intel Q8200 4 core @ 2.33GHZ)
GPU: GTX 650
PSU: Corsair TX 650
HDD: WD Blue 1TB & 250GB Seagate

(Sorry i missed the reply button)

I dont really think thats the issue, ive had this GPU for only 2 years and it works just fine. When tottaly replacing the Motherboard i had a problem with it not posting but it turned out to be the ram (it wasnt all the way in). I accidently touched the ram pins while installing, could that have broken something?

always a CHANCE that static could have done something, could try taking a pencil eraser and gently rubbing the contact pins to remove dust/oils.

If you haven't, you could try seating the ram in the other channel set.
