Hi.

I'm so noob at OC, i've read some people just change the multiplier to 20 and make it to 4ghz. I have a CM Hyper T4 Cooler (idles at 38 - 43C) - MAX 52C on AMD OverDrive
Other hardware:
Running an AMD R9 270
8GB Ram HyperX Fury 1866mhz
PSU CM Silent M2 720w

So I have my question till here.
Is the right way to do it?
is there any risk? damaging something?
in case of NO POST clearing CMOS fix it?
Will increase at least 1-4fps in gaming?

I Only want to set it up to 4 to have a closed number more than anything, also learn in the way. :p

Thanks!

There's no "right" way to overclock, there's a few different ways to do it and multiplier is one of them.

There's risk damaging it if you have to many volts running through your cpu and if you overclock to much so that your cooler can't take care of the heat.
You'll want to stay under 1.5V and under 65C or so.

Yes if you clear your bios settings the OC will reset.

If you want more fps in games I would suggest OC'ing the gpu rather then the cpu, you won't notice much of a performance increase unless you play on low. Low uses more cpu.

I meant Temperature how much more should be (approximate)
for OCing it to 4.0
I have
1 x 120mm intake
1 x rear 120mm outtake
and the Hyper T4 for the CPU

But i Guess it is a thing that i can see by myself...
so I go to Bios and change multiplier to 20 and whoalla?
