Hello good people!

Never thought it would happen to me, but it did. Samsung HD250HJ HDD crashed. The following happened : I used to leave my PC running at night sometimes and one day I noticed that it was turned off(could be some power issue) in the morning. Well, turned it on and, as soon as Windows loading screen appears, PC restarts. After that there was given 2 options(Start Windows normally or Launch? startup repair). Start Windows Normally lead to previously described crash. Repair - blue screen, after a short moment while loading some files, which says:

BAD_POOL_HEADER STOP: 0x00000019 (0x00000020, 0x81638530, 0x816385B0, 0x08100010)

Now I tried to connect HDD with SATA-USB adapter to another PC as slave. First launch - was able to see "System recovery" drive in My Computer and got

BAD_POOL_HEADER STOP: 0x00000019 (0x00000020, 0x87865788, 0x878657B0, 0x0A050005)

After restart did see both drives (local and system recovery) in My Computer. Local didn't show any info about its used or free size. And just before I clicked on drive, boom, blue screen

"Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need" So, basically no technical information compared to previous crashes.

When HDD starts, there is a one crack(some strange sound, click maybe) and then it seems that HDD is running smoothly. Don't know about sounds HDD might make so just an extra info.

Previous happened today because I bought a new PC when had this crash and thought that HDD repair would cost a lot so it was laying in package for half a year or so. Now decided to try, maybe It is possible to solve this without 500 euro cost.

So system can see this HDD and, as I understand, it is working, but as soon as any machine, connected with this HDD, is started it wont load windows or get any extra info because PC crashes too fast. I cant run tools or diagnostic from windows.

The following is some messy information I wrote down from various diagnostic tools from Bootable Hairens CD I had when crash happened. I just wrote down something as I don't understand much about technical side of HDD.

----
No1 100,00 MB
No2 238,373 MB

Boot manager: Not installed
Extended BIOS: Present
Size MB: 238,475
Cylinders: 49,218
Sectors: 19
Heads: 224

Security: Frozen
Smart: Warning
Status: Not mounted

Incorrect number of heads/cylinder 255(NTFS)!=
224(HO)

Incorrect number of sectros per track 63(NTFS)!=
19(HD)

What do you think? What tools you could suggest to use? How serious it can be? Is there a hope? What else I can look for?

Basically I'm interested in photos(because there sure was some I didn't back up in time), If I get photos back, I'm more than happy and can throw this HDD in trash. Maybe the problem isn't that big.

Big thanks to those who read all this and have any ideas, much respect guys! And sorry for my English if there is some misunderstandings.

Hello, first of all please stop messing with the drive that will only make matters worse. From what you're describing it sounds like you have an area of bad sectors in your filesystem. You really should seek out someone with professional data recovery equipment.

Where are you located? I can recommend a company near you.

When I did some reading about these problems I realized that I shouldn't have run any tools at all, but, what's done is done, unfortunately.
I live in Latvia. I found few services who recovers data, but price lists scared me, BUT, who knows - maybe it wont be VERY expensive. Any information will help, and thanks a lot!
