In CS:GO my FPS used to be in the high 100s. Recently, I have been getting low 100s and at one point even 10fps. My FPS has been lower in other games too, but I don't know average values for them.

I made a thread about this previously, and the issue was my CPU cooler. This fixed it for a while, but recently it's been acting up again. I replaced the thermal paste which didn't fix it. I then bought new thermal paste (Arctic MX-4) and this hasn't made a difference either. Any and all help would be appreciated!

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-8120 @ 3.1GHz
Cooler: Hyper 212 Evo
Thermal paste: Arctic MX-4
RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
GPU: AMD R9 280X
PSU: 750W FSP Silver Certified

Check your temps while gaming. Just use HWmonitor and see what the max temp went up to on your CPU. You want to look at the CPUtin temp. Have you changed anything else with the computer?

When I am not gaming, the temperature hits 30C, then drops down to 20C, and back up to 30 constantly. I'd say an average of 25C.

CPU's max temp after playing cs:go for around 45 minutes was 43.6C

GPU's max temp after playing cs:go for around 45 minutes was 61.0C

Seems that no matter what game I play, these max temperatures are the same.

I changed my PSU from a 750W CiT gold to the 750W FSP Silver Certified, but the low FPS issue only started a while after I installed it

Perhaps cooling is the issue, how many fans are in your box?

I have a fan in the back of my case, one on the cpu cooler, 2 in the gpu and one in front of the hdd

So, 5 total

Those are good temps but did you look at the cputin temp? If that one gets too high it causes your CPU to throttle. What motherboard do you have?

For your motherboard it looks like TMPIN1 is the CPUTIN temperature. So you will want to look at the max temp on TMPIN1. If it's going above 60c you will have thermal throttling.
