Hi Guys,

Today I installed a application called ClockGen and messed something with it i don't remeber, i wanted to overclock my cpu cause i cant oc it in bios, so after messed up with it i didn't get any result cause i didn't find my pll or so, after done with it i opened cpuz app, and my clock speed was 1.5 ghz and multiplier 6, my cpu is core 2 duo e6600 2.4 ghz, i thought it was the feature in bios the cpu speedstep so when the processor in in idle it downclocks the speed of cpu so i disabled it but the same result, it didn't work. Im not worried at all because in games it loads the full clock speed so 2.4 ghz and multiplier 9 but its very annoying cause i want the full speed all the time.

P.S
Pc specs are given in signature if needed for anything.

PLEASE HELP :(

-you should be able restore default settings in clockgen

-you can enter the BIOS and load the default settings or overclock safe defaults

try disconnecting the power cable and removing the CMOS battery and leave it off for 5-15 minutes then reinsert it and the power cable then try again

Isn't it the same to load default bios settings ?

yes but this time you do it by force as you leave the CMOS which stores the saved BIOS options without power
