I need advice, I have a HP Pavilion a6430f desktop now and I was going to upgrade it using the bones and just get a new CPU, mobo, and RAM. Does that sound ok, or is there some gotcha here?

With that being ok, I saw a good combo at microcenter for AMD, cuz price is the key factor for FX6300 and A6 6400k. I am not sure which one and if this is over kill to browse. With price a factor what would you recommend?
