I got ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3
How much ohm can it handle?

I want to buy the Sennheiser G4ME One headset but its 150 ohm compared to the 32 ohm on my old headset. Will I need a sound card or amp? Or will it work just fine

More about : ohm motherboards handle

Uh, impedance for Sennheiser G4ME One Headphones is 50 Ω not 150 Ω.

As the impedance of a pair of headphones increases, more voltage is required to drive it. Your motherboard can handle 50 Ω as it is not much higher than 32 Ω.

You are going to want a small AMP/DAC or soundcard that can handle 150 Ohms. I am running a pair of 80 ohm Beyerdynamics 770 Pros on my ASUS Maximus VI Hero. The onboard sound is one of the better onboard and I still have to turn up the volume pretty decent to get a good level of sound. While it sounds amazing, I don't think you would be able to drive 150 ohms from any onboard soundcard. You'll need a soundcard with built in AMP or an external AMP or DAC unit.

Something like this would probably be your cheapest option. It supports up to a 600 ohm headset.
