How to test if a CPU works perfectly for every single function and no any hidden failure? I am concerned with the perfectness of computer hardware.

Or, if a computer looks like working properly, running windows OS properly, then does it mean the CPU (and any other parts of computer as well) also works properly and perfectly and no hidden failure that we don't know.

Thank you for all comments.

Well, we can never know for sure that any hardware is 100% failure proof or error proof. Closest we can get is testing with Prime95. By trying all three tests for over 2 hours each (at least), we know the hardware is stable and reliable.

Get a piece of paper and a pen and start calculating manually everything your CPU has to calculate, print the results and then compare them. But this only if you can completely trust your printer to print everything with 100% accuracy - I mean you can't be sure if it isn't skipping or changing something while printing, right? It would take you probably a couple of months of manual calculations to get near to what a CPU can achieve in 2-3 milliseconds but it's still worth trying.

Honestly dude... Get real.

Hi

Do you remember the early Pentium 1 cpu had a built in maths co processor which under certain circumstances generated the wrong results.

Was it working correctly or not ?

By that I mean it was not broken but did not calculate correctly

It is difficult to test all features on a complex device like a CPU

Normally if you can not install a modern version of Windows on a modern PC then there is a hardware fault somewhere.

But If you can install Windows it does not prove there is no fault
