I bought a gigabyte z97 motherboard. It had two power sockets. One 24 pin and the other 8 pins. I don't believe this psu came with the cable.

Right now, my computer turns on for literally a few seconds then right back off. I was wondering if that had to do with the 24 pin not being enough power? ( I only plugged in the 24pin)

Stupid question I know, just wanted to be sure. I have the corsair 750w modular I looked in my psu box and could not find an 8 pin connector.

You MUST attach a 4 or 8 pin power cable to the 8 pin connector on the motherboard. Your PSU comes with 1 x 8-Pin EPS 12V and it must be attached.
