This is my first PC build, and I did a little bit of research and put together this PC at http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YsLJNG
I am a noob when it comes to choosing computer parts, and I don't know if I should add another SSD, or water cool it, or add a sound card, or what.
Ill be using this PC mainly for gaming and browsing the web, but I also want to make sure I can do some work on it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a budget of about 4500$, including the peripherals and OS.
Thanks in advance, Ken

This computer can handle ANYTHING you throw at it. The CPU has 6 cores so it is perfect for work, the sli gtx 980 is much better than an sli 970 and watercooling + 2 case fans should be more than enough for cooling.

Massively overkill on the CPU side. I suggest a 4790k, Z97, and max 16 GB RAM, unless you want to do RAMDisk. Since you're driving a QHD display, two 980s will be nice. The PSU is overkill, as a 850w could easily drive 2 980s. Also, multiple monitors could work.

I included a monitor which is 144hz so you can actually see fps up to 144 and you can EASILY play anything in 4k. I added a headset which is 7.1 surround sound, keyboard + gaming mouse, wireless sound card and windows 8.1 64bit so you're good to go with WHATEVER you do on the computer, this is the ultimate computer :D

The corsair h100i is an excellent liquid cooler which will be more than sufficient (Including the case fans) to cool the system. It is overkill but if someone asks for a budget of $4k I don't really judge on what they do with the computer that much, I just try help them find a good build for their budget, if I had 4k I would be decking out this build myself.

$1000 cheaper, still extremely good, if you need it to be even cheaper let me know and I will tweak the build a bit more.

A few more edits, Including better case/MB, better cooler (well, quieter), QHD monitor, removed sound card.

EDIT: Add one of these if you want to double fan, and it will reach the same performance as the H100i in Maximum mode. There's only 2 to 3 degrees difference though. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-case-fan-nfa15pwm.

If you don't mind a big hunk of metal on your motherboard, you can also use the NH D14
