HI i have a dell inspiron n7110

and im looking into my video cards, and in the device manager it saya i have INTEL(R) HD Graphics designer and then another that is the NVIDIA GeForce Gt525M

why do i have two? can i switch from one to another?

The computer has two so that the Intel HD graphics take over for basic tasks and the Nvidia takes over for more graphically intensive tasks.

The switch happens automatically and you don't have to do anything.

I believe that laptop automatically switches between the two based on need- if more power is needed for 3d rendering or something the Nvidia card comes on. If not, the Intel one is used for power savings.
