As you can see in this in link page 42 these are supported cpus from the k410 manual, it is surprising to see a i5-3570k is supported but they do not mention a i5-3570? Would it work anyways?

almost certainly yes. both 3570 and 3570k are in the same family and when they set up BIOS support for motherboards it's usually by CPU family.

Is the K410 a laptop or a desktop? What socket does it currently already run?

OP did note he went through the manual and that i5-3570K was an available option. so it's got to be a desktop.

Lga 1155 socket. Yes it is a desktop. I just bought a r9 280 OC, do you think it is acceptable to just upgrade my cpu and go to 8gb ram down the road or should i do a new build on blackfriday in which i would need a case, ram, cpu, processor, mobo. I can get a brand new i5-3570 cpu for around $135 after using rewards from a retailer.
