It all depends, but eventhough on paper 9 is faster it only pertains to certain ram modules. The higher speeds ted to have slower cas latency.
EDIT: 1333,1600,1866,2133 etc as you go up the cas latency changes but this shouldnt be your main target cause it depends on how your work on your comp is communicating with the ram
