Alright, I am a minorly tech savvy, but this issue is tossing me around like a ragdoll. I have an INSIGNIA 32" Television that accepts HDMI. (HDMI1 says DVI+ARC)(HDMI2 says MHL) and I am trying to connect it to a TOSHIBA Satellite L775. Every time I connect the two together (I have used both HDMI ports on the TV.) The screen does the brief transition black screen that it normally does, but stays like that. (The TV still says NO SIGNAL) and even after unplugging the laptop the screen will not revert back to my desktop and I have to force shut it down. I have left it for about 10 minutes some times to see if it would fix itself and it wouldn't. I have, however, connected it (as well with a brand new HDMI cord) to a TV that belongs to a friend of mine. Both HDMI CORDS work with his TV in each HDMI slot with no problem. I now have tried 3 different HDMI cords on my own television and cannot determine what the issue might be.
