this motherboard is a FOXCONN,model 865G7mf-sh.
One of the RAM headers is defective, in that computer won't boot if a RAM Bar is inserted. the other is okay.
The CLR_CMOS jumper is on the clear position(pins 2 and 3). if I move the jumper to the default position(pins 1 and2),the computer won't boot.
I am very worried about this. what causes this and is there a solution(s)?
It is too late to return for refund. Foxconn won't give me the time of day when I contact them about this.
the computer works otherwise.
I appreciate any advice/suggestions offered.
