Hey! ive had this issue for a while now and it sucks! heres the issue.(geak squad had no clue)
I have two external adapters for wifi on my gaming desktop (only use one at a time) they work somewhat coming in with speed tests at around 2-3 mbps. WHILE my relatives come in at 30 mbps.
What i found.-
1.When I run diagnostics it comes out with a DNS server error saying that my computer is set up properly but its coming in with a error.
2.Now on top of that. One of my two network adapters has the choice of selecting the mode its on. B/G/N does not work at all while B/G does.

What I have tried- Power resetting both, Flushing dns, using different dns servers switching modes, switching gateways, switching adapters, updating firmwear and uninstalling/reinstalling wifi adapters.

I Will do anything for answers. ANYTHING is better than the geek squad agent that said uhhhhh and never said anything again

What make/model are the wireless adapters you mention here?

Also, are you the administrator for the router (or at least heave access to it)? If so, is your system being limited in regards to its bandwidth on the router itself?

When comparing your rig and your relative's, are they sitting in the same location (in order to fully compare them)?

I have access to it and I don't think it's limited band width wise. It's a Motorola sbg6580(gateway)

I have compared the room connections.

My adapters are a belkin enhanced wireless adapter which I'd older and a newer bole wifi adapter. I'll get the exact product later tonight.
