Looking for a New Graphics Card

I need some suggestions for a graphics card, specifically a single card because i have an itX motherboard in my Bitfenix prodigy.

Budget: $550 max
Im also looking for a new power supply to go with it. I believe my current one is shotty and is causing my computer to crash.

The gtx 970 is the best bang for the buck. I would avoid the cx series, they use cheap caps that have a high failure rate. Get an evga b2 or g2.

Seasonice,Antec,XFX,Superflower and some Corsair AXi/HXi/RM models, or EVGA G2 are great. Look into that. I would reccomend a Corsair RM 750 or AX 760, Seasonic 750 W X-Series or Seasonic 760XP2 - 760W. Also the best GPU for the money would be either an R9 280X from AMD or a GTX 970 from Nvidia.

Thought you might want to know its the 750w and 850w Corsair RMs that have problems(cheap caps) the 550w, 650w and 1000w versions dont have this issue.

Possible Nvidia options: GTX 980 GTX 970, GTX 780 ti GTX 760
Possible AMD options: R9 290X Radeon HD 7870 Radeon HD 7970
