It means you can use both ATX and micro ATX boards, whichever you prefer.
Asrock, asus and gigabyte are all good brands, though i prefer asus and gigabyte more for their bios.

This is a mid tower case in which you can use these form factor mobos:

ATX
microATX
miniITX

From brand preference point of view, Asus and Gigabyte are good brands to reckon with. However, it would depend upon which chipset you are considering and budget.

That is a very nice case there. As you can see its a middle tower pc case hence it supports mini ITX,micro ATX,ATX size motherboards. You can use either of these size motherboards. The micro atx and atx have their differences
-atx have more number of expansion slots
-In atx the slots have more space between them making them less congested when fully occupied by graphics cards and in turn provides greater air flow as compared to micro atx but this shouldn't be a factor really.
The micro atx have these advantages
-they are generally cheaper than atx boards.
-Nowadays the micro atx boards have sufficient expansion slots compared to atx boards.
Moreover the cheap atx boards by asrock gigabyte and asus aren't even full size atx boards thus making the size difference even less.
A full-size ATX board is 12 × 9.6 in (305 × 244 mm)
The maximum size of a microATX motherboard is 9.6 × 9.6 in (244 × 244 mm)
Now coming to the brand preference Asus is the number one when it comes to quality and reliability, gigabyte is also very good it is both reliable and not as expensive as asus.Asrock offers motherboards at good prices but is usually ranked below these two though i think you can take either of them.Asrock in fact broke away from asus so many people say that you basically buy an asus board when you buy from asrock.Msi is also good but isn't really as popular as the above.Biostar etc don't have the amount of boards sold as the above.
Some good atx boards
