Hello everyone...!
little advice needed...
i am upgrading my gaming PC...i already have Intel DP45SG board with 4gb RAM , Core2Quad Q8200 processor and an ATI HD 5450 2gb GPU...
i am planning to upgrade it with-- 8gb RAM, ATI HD 7950 3gb GPU and a 650 watt PSU...
will it work with the latest games or do i've to upgrade with something else also....
stuck..

Solution
That Sapphire 270x and the GTX 750 TI would both be good upgrades from what you have now and would likely play well with your cpu. Pay attention to what I said about the power supply, it's important. You probably only need about a 450-500w PSU for either of those cards, if that. Just make sure whatever you get is a good unit. Many brands have good and bad models so don't just go by the brand name or it's 80plus ratings, make sure the model is either listed Tier 3 or above on the list or has a positive review at Jonnyguru or a similar professional review site.

im not sure about your processor model. but i think core2quad will not work well with 7950 3gb. bec it will slightly bottle neck with your processor. and if you get best deal with HD 7950 go with it. otherwise you can buy R9 280. it will be a better graphics card.
what price you are buying 7950 3gb?

Ok, if his CPU doesn't support the 7950 it sure as hell isn't going to support the R9 280 without choking it out. What I need to know is the correct model number of the CPU and the PSU.

sorry... the model is Core2Quad Q8200..
and i've checked the GPU available--
1. Sapphire R9 270x 2gb Toxic boost
2. MSi R9 270x 2gb Hawk edition
3. Nvidia GTx 750ti- rgb

I actually don't see any of the core 2 quads with strong enough specs for that card. You probably want at least a quad core with a clock of 3.2Ghz or higher and that core 2 quad could only have a max clock of 3.0Ghz if you had the very fastest model, which you most likely don't if your partial model number you listed is correct. You probably want something more like a R9 270 or 270X or maybe a GTX 750.

You also will want a quality PSU, not a cheap one. Watts doesn't make a PSU good. The quality of components and a history of reliability make a PSU good so you want something that's at least a Tier 3 unit from the PSU Tier list here:

If you have good budget then go for an i5 and gtx 760 or better.Your cpu is very old to get best results.

Thanks for the advice...
Buying everything new was the last option. I was hoping to rev this system itself.
Cause my board (Intel-DP45SG) doesn't support i5.. it's a extreme series board n a bit old.
I was planning to buy a core2quad q9650 @ 3.0 ghz or core2 extreme, if the processor was not a match...(its available at a cheap price).

If q9650 is still available for cheep price then, get it and buy a GTX 750TI card along with RAM and PSU.
i hope that, you can play all latest games.

Again that depends on you. bec If you can wait for just 2 months it will be a good thing IMO, you can play most of the high-end games for next 3-4 years. so think twice before upgrading your older PC even 20000 rs itself is not a easy amount.

as i said before, if you are going to upgrade your older PC you need Core2Quad Q8200, 4GB RAM, you should have a good PSU at least of 400W i dont know your power supply? and GTX 750 or 750 TI will work fine with your PC.

For 65k :-

i5 processor-
GTX 760
650W PSU
a good MOBO
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
a good branded cabinet
