I want a medium-high (80-100fps on one of the newer games[this year-last year] is enough for me) end PC for gaming. And I want to assemble it myself. I have 0 experience with building one.
I'd guess my budget is around 25k INR which is 400 USD.

Could anyone please help me with what parts I need, and parts which are easy to assemble so I don't screw stuff up?

Or do you think I should just get a readymade CPU and just add in my other peripherals? I don't need a mouse, keyboard or a monitor.

Hey,

I had a look for a similar site like PCpartspicker for India - the closest i could find was http://assembleyourpc.net/ - make sure you put it in indian mode.

I would suggest doing some research, read some of tomshardware articles and trying to pick parts yourself. Once you have a sort of build, post it back here and people can give advice and such. You'll find it a lot more rewarding and it will help you understand computers in general a lot more.

Some areas to start are:
Nvidia or AMD GPU?
AMD or Intel processor? After this you can start to look at motherboards.
Read some reviews on budget cases and pick one with high performance and one you like the look of.
A lot of the reviews are based on USA prices - look at what you can get and whether the prices are much different in India. You may find better deals for the cost on certain branded products.

Your budget is too low for a system you are expecting. You need atleast 50K for a decent build.Because we can't compare the price of products from US and in India. Here in India the price is marginally high.

Yeah I've decided to up my budget.
Thanks for that link gooldengoose!

Anyway I've come up with the following parts-
http://assembleyourpc.net/rigs/56132

Do you think it's good? Any suggestions?
Also how easy it is to assemble a PC? Is it just about connecting wires or screwing things into sockets? I don't have any tools except a screwdriver and a hand.
