Will this PSU be enough for my new rig?

Hi. I'm finally thinking about upgrading my 5 year old rig and I'm afraid that my psu won't handle it.

It's a Tacens Radix V 850 which, from what I've gathered here in the forums, it's not very good (it wasn't my original choice, my first psu died and the guys from the repair shop chose this one to replace it).

I still haven't fully decided what my new cpu+gpu will be (along with the motherboard and more ram, they're the only components I'm planning to buy) but I'll probably either go with an amd FX 8350+R9 280x, or an intel i5 4430+gtx 970. While I will appreciate some comments on these choices, I'm posting them merely so that you understand the load that will be on the psu.

That being said, can it handle it? I really, really, don't want to spend any more money than I have to, I'm alread stretching my budget thin ant a new psu would just kill it.

A new PSU, sadly, is required. That's a very poor quality PSU and being 5 year old, the caps will be worn out, you wouldn't want the PSU to explode, taking some components with it, for a high end build like that, straight no. And i5 + 970 would kill a single 280X and FX 8 in gaming.

Can you not save another month longer for a decent PSU? I mean it's 850w so it should be able to handle most mid range GPU+CPU combo's but i just cant be sure. Personally i wouldnt risk it having a fault and causing further issues down the line (maybe even damage to your new parts).

I probably won't be overclocking nor using sli/crossfire, so is more than 550w overkill?

I just searched for the psu MeteorsRaining suggested and in my country it sells for less than 60€, which is awesome! If you guys think this one will do, I'll go with it. Thank you both so much for your input.
