Corsair Conundrum 650w to 750w

hello, i'm planning to upgrade my GS600 v1 (the old one), i'm not comfortable with the heat that it's generating when i moved from 650ti to my current 280x. now as we all know corsair has a lot of SKUs that are a bit confusing.

my current budget permits the following:

Corsair TX650 v2 80+ Bronze (5 years wty though)
Corsair CX750M 80+ Bronze, modular
Corsair CS650M 80+ Gold, semi modular
Corsair GS800 800w Power Supply (2013 Edition with 3 years wty)

i can stretch it out a bit and take:

Corsair CS750M 80+ Gold, semi modular
Corsair RM850M 80+ Gold, Fully Modular ( the difference in price over the lower wattages ones will be negligible IF i decide to stretch)
Corsair TX750 v2 80+ Bronze (5 years warranty)

the prefixes are giving me a headache to be honest, any personal experience with these PSUs will be extremely helpful

by the way the rig it will be powering is:

i5 3450
r9 280x
3 HDD (upgrading to 1 ssd and another HDD in a short while)

what's your spec? when you're playing can you tell me if the exhaust gets pretty hot too?

i just want to get rid of the heat that's coming out of my current gs600. it wasn't this hot when i had a 260x to a 650ti boost.

ps: i'm under the impression that if there's more headroom then the PSU will less likely get hotter, so if i need to break the bank i'd go with the RM just to get rid of the heat.

Hover over my Intel icon to see my PC.

You said you want to choose a PSU. The GS600 are in between. They are better than the CX and CS but not as good as TX.

The 280X will pull more current than the 650Ti. So the PSU will get hotter. If you think its getting too hot then RMA it.
