First thought, swap the Kingmax SSD for the Samsung 840 EVO Series 120GB SSD

Hi there, what is your budget? GTX 970 to powerfull for FX6300, you'de better go for an FX8xxx, the best way is to go for i5 Haswell. For an SSD I would highly recommend something like Samsung 840 EVO/Pro. That are my first thoughts.

Hi there.

Right so just gonna jump right in, points are from most to least important.

1. VERY bad choice in PSU.
You can use this list to get a quality unit, stick to tier1, tier2a and tier2b for quality and reliability. keep in mind any reliable 550-650w unit is MORE than enough for your system.
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1804779/power-supp...

2. SSD is shoddy and uses low quality NAND and sub par controller. Stick to Crucial M500 / MX100 or Samsung EVO for qaulity.

3. Motherboard and chassis are not compatible as the Pordigy M only supports mATX but the board is ATX.

4. Just a suggestion, the RAM is CAS10, you should be able to get CAS9 at the same price.

1. Alright, noted. The current one was tier four, i swapped it too a Seasonic G-550 80Plus Gold 550W.
2. Okay cheers, i'll look into that. Still on the edge on whether i will or will not be getting a SSD, thought it might be good at least to have windows on it.
3. Changing chassis to make sure i have good air flow
4. Whats the difference between CAS10 and CAS9? I honestly chose the current ram due to the colour.

Note: Any suggestions for cases? Or should i downgrade my motherboard (confused about motherboards tbh) and stick with the previous case (which i like a lot). I'm also worried about airflow.

Corsair Carbide 200R is "OK" case for the money.

Do not worry too much about chassis. Here are some decent options :

The motherboard you have is excellent quality, so stick with it.

CAS refers to the latency that the RAM is running at. Aiming for CAS9 1600MHz RAM is what most gamers go for. Its not really that important though.
This is CAS 8 at 10ASD more : http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...
And its blue, :)

If you are finding it hard to fit all this in your budget, dropping the SSD completely for later upgrade is a good decision, this will allow you to get a FX 8320 AND save some money as well.

Oh and @niko24, is that really necessary? Whats the problem with the current CPU? I'm planning on over clocking them both to a degree.

The problem is that a decent gaming CPU is any i5 and FX8xxx with OC would be a bit worse but near that i5, FX6300 is weaker than FX8xxx, so do the math. For the GTX970 I highly recommend you to go with FX8xxx and overclock it. The alternative is i5 Haswell (K-series if you want to overclock it too). Btw i5 4440 (for ex.) is decent gaming CPU without any OC.

Have fun

I'll look into the FX8320 thanks. I choose a good case (hopefully) and am considering getting rid of the SSD and possibly just adding it in during a later expansion :)

^Final build.

Any last minute thoughts? And is SSD that much quicker?

All is great now. You'll notice the difference for sure but this is not the crucial point. You could buy it later if you want to.

Enjoy your build!
