Hello Everyone Got a few questions..
Im planning to buy a new pc with Asus formula VII + I7 4790k, for gaming and multimedia purpose.
The MB supports DDR3 :3300(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3100(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/133.

So wich one is the best option here?

Correct me if I'm wrong, Lets say that I put a 2800 memory in the mb,
1- If I dont configure it in the BIOS it will recognize as 1600 right?
2- If I put that xmb profile in the BIOS and the memory work as 2800 in overclock mode, exactly what is being overclocking? just the memory or the MB and CPU as well?
3- in long term using the 2800 oc memory, will that affect the life time of the mb, memory or cpu?

Thanks in advance.

1. Yes.

2. It's XMP*. Nothing is getting OCed unless you do it, it'd run at 2800MHz.

3. No.

I'd go for Tridents, excellent sticks both on stock speeds and for OCing :)
