Is this build in a small form factor case??? do you have enough fans in the system to cool it also did you only use a pea size drop of thermal paste in the center of the cpu when you installed the deep cool??? is the fan plug in? Could be a temp malfunction on the board. Just some questions to ask also read a few reviews they have had some quality issues with the cooler as well.

Yeah man, that is really hot for an idle temp. I have an A10 in my laptop and my temps are around 40c idle. Its not the Gabriel's fault as it did help your temps significantly, but no cooler will drop your temps 25c to where that chip should be. I'm thinking you may have a defective cpu. I have an 8350 oc to 4.6 ghz and it never breaks 60c on load (though it is watercooled.) You could get an even better cooler that could drop your temps another 5c or so, but even at 50c it would still be hot. If your apu is still within the return period you may want to return it and try another. Maybe the heat spreader was not soldered properly or you just got some bad silicon.

You may also want to try some better thermal paste (artic silver or gelid diamond). This should drop your temps another 2-3 degrees.
Also, be sure your paste is applied properly. Only a pea sized amount applied directly in the middle is needed.
Check the airflow in your case. If you can install another exhaust fan maybe try that. It will get you another 1-2c.
Those are your options. Don't spend $100 on a cooler for a $90 APU. Dont spend any more than $30.
