Unable to connect to wireless network 3Com wireless Router

Laptop : Dell inspiron 15R 5537
Network adapter : Intel wireless N7260
Router : 3com adsl wireless 11g firewall (03crwdr100a-72)

problem is that I can't connect to the wireless network once I set a password on it but at the same time all my other devices can connect using the password I made and when I turn it into an open network without any password my laptop connects just fine.

so please help me as I cant leave my network open without and password cause its annoying how random people keeps connecting

Control Panel > Network and Sharing > "Manage Wireless Settings" on the left pane > Right-click your network, select properties > Security tab

Security type: WPA-PERSONAL
Encryption type : TKIP

The thing is sometimes it connects by itself but if I disconnected it wont connect again

Control Panel > Network and Sharing > "Manage Wireless Settings" on the left pane

Is your router's network first on the list? If not, move it up to the top.

And then right-click on it and go to properties. In the first tab (Connection) ensure the first three checkboxes are ticked.

@huilun02 my router is the only one there cause I removed all the others and it was already checked to connect automatically :(

When it disconnects, is the network still visible with good connection strength? If you manually get it to connect, will it connect?

Do you get any error messages? Does it only occur when you move your laptop around?

Start menu search > type in "device manager" and enter > Expand 'Network adapters'

Right-click your adapter and select "Update driver software"

when it disconnects yes its still visible with excellent strength and it doesn't connect when I manually try to
a message comes out ''unable to connect to 3Com'' and I updated my network driver to the latest version and still no change...

Its connect btw now but im pretty sure if I disconnected it wont connect again that easy

I tried to access another network *my friend's router in the same building* and it connected just fine without any issue
