So I've OC'd my FX 8320 to 4.3GHz (Hitting a thermal wall there), by simply upping the multiplier, and the motherboard (M5a97 Evo R2) seems to do a pretty fine job with the voltages on auto.
The problem I have now, is that now it's up and stable I want to re-enable CnQ to throttle down my CPU when it's idle... But with it enabled, it still seems to do nothing; it's running at 4.3GHz on all cores all the time, and never slowing.

Obviously while gaming this isn't a problem at all, but I'd rather not have my CPU running at those speeds while I'm just browsing the web.

Is there anyway around this? Or is this not really that much of an issue, and I should just put up with it?

Thanks in advance for the help guys n gals!

I have the same problem(same mobo).
It works fine @ 4.5ghz, but won't work @4.6ghz.
For me its fine. :p

p.s. is your windows power options set to balanced?
