Hi, I was wondering if this is a good build for gaming, multitasking, and watching movies and youtube videos... I've been wanting to build a rig for a long time now and I am ready. So, is this a good build for just that?

Specs:

i5 4960k CPU

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Heatsink

MSi GTX 780 3GB 3.5ghz

MSi Z97-G45 Mobo

Ballistix 2x4 8GB RAM

1TB HDD

SeaSonic 80+ 620W

Thank you in advance. :)

And correct me if I have spelled anything wrong or anything.

This is my first post too... Sooo, go easy on me. :D

First of all welcome to the forum. You have a solid build but I have a few recommendation.

Why the GTX 780? The GTX 970 and 980 has been released.

I wouldn't build a build with an MSI motherboard but other parts are fine. This is because they have bad QC. But hopeful,y they have improved but I still wouldn't touch them IMO.

Edit: Prit87 is right, it is an i5-4690K. I am familiar and just skimmed through so sorry about that mate.

I have tried to buy the 970 and the 980 but they have been out of stock every time I check it on multiple websites. I guess I'll stick with the 780 and upgrade later because I'm not looking for very hardcore gaming or anything like that. I might go super hardcore sometimes and the MSi Mobo has multiple good reviews so that's good enough for me. :)

What games will you be playing and at what settings? If you plan on playing games on Battlefiled 4 on ultra, it will easily get you at least 40-45+FPS. And if you do become a "hardcore" gamer in the future, then SLI it.

Or another option is to wait for the stocks of the GTX 970.

Or another another option is to wait if the GTX 960 eu lured to be released. It is a mid range card and will perform pretty well.

PM me if you need extra help.

Thanks for the advice.
I will probably be playing BF4 and BF3, on high but if you know how Skyrim will run and games of that nature, could you tell me?

Thanks :)
