I have AMD fx 6300 with Gigabyte-78 lmt (usb3.0) motherboard. i want to install a graphic card. AMD or nvidia? Any issues with compatibility if i go for Nvidia?
If you are in a very tight budget I would recommend a AMD card. As I don't know your region, but I would say R9 270 will get you to medium easily on any game.
There will be no issues between the two. But here's what you need to look out for:
-Make sure you have enough watts depending on the graphics card.
-Make sure you have a free PCI Express x16 port.
-Make sure it doesn't bottleneck so you can achieve the best perfromance when gaming.
-Make sure the card fits in the case.
P.S. Nvidia are much more expensive then an AMD "equivalent" but I liked them as I can take advantage of ShadowPlay.
I've used both over the years, with no issues, and to be honest no preference for one over the other. My choice has been driven by value for money considerations i.e. chose the one which gave the best performance for my budget.
DDR3? Not suitable for gaming. But light gaming will do fine. But not very well at all. I recommend upgrading to a GDDR5 for optimal gaming performances (still depending on the GPU you get though).
