what is my Best choice

Where in the UK are you. I have an R9 290 custom cooled with a Gelid Icy Vision and Alpenfohn VRM heatsink. I could do it for £180. Other than that if you want new, I would suggest:

The 290x is better at the highest resolutions (4K) pretty much across the board

While the R9 290x is slightly better at 4k, it is more expensive, runs much hotter, sucks almost twice the power, and is just not as efficient. In anything but 4k, the 970 wins.

It is 12% cheaper than what you listed. It is custom cooled so not that much hotter. But yeah, sucks more juice. Also this card is voltage unlocked Black edition. Probably binned with OC headroom.
