For people who have the Gigabyte GTX 970, what temperatures do you guys have?
Idle is about ~30 degrees but then when ever I start gaming it goes up to 67 degrees. I do wonder if that is okay for a GPU or is that too hot since it just went up nearly 40 degrees celsius, and my case is also opened, I dont have the front cover. I'm concerned whether this is bad or not? And since I saw a review that only had ~64 and it's overclocked.

Ohhh okay.. Well what would be a warm/hot temperature if 67 is cold.

When under load, I would start getting concerned around 80 and above. But still even at 80 some cards just run super hot. 67 is nothing. Some cards get to like 90-100 degrees and still function fine but heat up rest of case.

67 degrees at load is perfectly fine. Its 'warm' at about 80 degrees. GPUs are made to endure temperatures up to 100 degrees although that's unhealthy and a sign of bad cooling.

An open case is good for temperatures, but bad for keeping out the dust.

You may hear reports of cooler temperatures for the same card because it's not the same ambient temperature everywhere. Come winter and it'll be running at 20-30 degrees.

Thank you very much for the information. I will close the case since 67 is a fine temp. I appreciate the detailed answer.
