Hi guys :)
I recently downloaded a program called HWmoniter to determine whether or not my PC is overheating (as it seemed quite hot on the casing) I have attached a picture of the results and wondered if anyone could tell me whether or not I need an extra fan?

The CPU temps seem way off compared to the motherboard's socket temps, I'd say that your temps are fine referring to the motherboard's socket (CPU should be near those temps). I'm assuming your PC would usually crash if it actually reached 80/90c because AMD's CPUs just don't go that high. Refer to the CPUTIN reading in there. Can you also turn your computer off and go into your BIOS and check the temps there? That will give me the most accurate reading.

edit: According to AMD, max safe temps for that CPU is 74c

Just closed most programs excluding this and the HWMoniter, and the CPU temperature went form a 71c to and 48c.
I will check the BIOS temp now
Edit: Just checked the BIOS temp and the CPU was at: 51.5c and the M/B Temp was at 30.0c

The PC is relatively new ( 4 months) and all parts I bought brand new so hopefully I won't need a new cooler, but will definitely buy some thermal paste see how I get on
