I recently purchased a 4gb stick for my laptop so that can make 6 (I already had 2gb of ram in the laptop). when i turn on my laptop and see the specs it says i can only use 2.30gbs of ram out of 6.00gb
Showing 2.3GB shouldn't be a 32bit / 64bit thing. 32bit versions of Windows should cap at 3GB (sometimes up to 3.5GB). Using integrated graphics? If so, how much memory is portioned out for it. It is almost like your 2GB isn't being recognized and you are giving 1.5GB to your graphics card...
