I just saw a guy selling a used GTX 280 and my question is,

is it worth it? It's only 60€

More about : gtx 280

Its probably defective one way or another. Maybe even dead.

Why else would someone try to sell it for such a low price?

its definitely a good deal but you can get a radeon 5850 used on ebay for just around that price too and the 5850 would be better ..however if you cant find the 5850 then by all means the gtx 280 will be a super deal

That's over priced really its an oldish card that is power hungry most 2nd shops will sell them at around £40 - Id say getting a GTX 295 is the only worthy gaming card left in the 200 range.

its not really that overpriced its actually a satble deal that is worth it but he could do a little better for the same price range rradeon 5000 card .. should he chose to stay nvidia then he should be fine with that card for sure

It requires both a 6 pin and 8 pin PCI connectors from the PSU. Can you handle that? I would suggest a new Radeon R7-250 or a Nvidia GT 740 which both use FAR less power and should be in your price range.

id say i would buy that thing for that and ship it there not a bad deal at all.

didnt look at the shipping options though sorry. there has to be someone that ships out of country. could even ask the seller if he would consider selling out of country sometimes they will.

Mhmm, I just looked inside my case and saw there were no 6 or 8 pin connectors, my current GPU is placed in PCI-e express slot without any pins connected to it.

that simply means that you have a stock psu that wont support the gtx 280 anyway so it makes little to no sense getting one knowing this... you can either get a new psu and then get the card or you can get a card that doesnt require external power

I was planning on building a new PC soon, so I was looking at some used PCs people are selling, but they were all crap so I was looking at some components I could buy for my next build.

it would be great if you get a new psu with you new build here is a psu suggestion that is really cheap and energy efficient for even high components..

How about a Corsair CX430 I heard it's great for budget builds. My friend with an Intel i5-3xxx and GTX 760 (not really budget build but whatever :p ) is using it.

Old, power hungry card with driver support going into legacy status. Don't bother.
