Problem with the Astro A40 + mixamp

Hey, I just bought the Astro A40 2013 edition with the mixamp, I plugged everything in, and noticed that there was something wrong with the sound, so I checked the cables and all that, and noticed that it only sends sound over the usb cable, even that the optic is installed in the mixamp and my motherboard, so I tried to change the sound setting to Realtek Digital Output(optical) but then there is no sounds in the headset.

For optical you need the small nob on the bottom to be set to "game" for Optical and "voice" for USB.

@James122332 well the issuse it still that it only send audio over the usb cable, and not the optical cable, I did change the settinngs ( see the imgur link) but when I do that there is no sound at all in the headset
