Is there a way to avoid having to sign on to the WiFi network every day when powering up my wireless printer?

Your wireless printer should remember and automatically connect to your wifi network once it is initially connected.

What is the make and model of the printer and router?

Thanks for your response! Printer is an HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP 177 fw. Router is a Magnavox NVG510.

The last 2 times I powered up the printer, it actually did log on to the wifi network without my having to key in the ID. That was the first time in about 4 weeks though. Should printers be left on all the time -- which would avoid this issue altogether?? Thanks again.

I dont leave my wireless printer on the time, and its fine. I can always print to it wirelessly

Is the firmware up to date on the printer?

Paul, it's a brand-new printer set for auto updates so I can only guess that everything is current.

Something must be wrong with it, if it cant keep the settings then Not always. There maybe an update for it now. Firmware updates wont be automatic. You would have to connect it to USB to do it
