I reset my laptop to factory setting, and now I am only getting 1-bar connection. It flickers to 1 and 5 bars every minute or so. It disconnects completely most of the time. Nothing is wrong with my router I've reset it many times and my other wireless devices work fine. This is the first time I have to sit really close to the router to sustain a 5-4 bar connection but I have never had to do this before and I plan not to. is there anything I can change in the settings to fix this?

Download the latest drivers from the website. If you tell me what you have and the OS I can steer you in the right direction if you need help.

i dont thonk you understand.. downloading your wireless drivers etc... wont revert your pc back to windows 8, if it came with 8.1 pre'installed just stick with it, its a good operating system ... :)  http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/drivers.. heres the site .. paste you serial number into the search bar choose your operating system then download your drivers ... :)
