I have an i3 4130 I bought last February 2013. It's a nice processor. I chose it so I could get an i5 in the future. Should I get an i5 now or is it too early? The i3 is still a powerful processor and a lot of games run fine with it. So should I spend now or should I keep it?

W/o your GPU, I can't conclusively say. Likewise, with GTx 750 Ti or R9 270, you won't gain much w/ an i5, proly 5-10 FPS, but with higher end GPUs like GTX 770 or 280X, we're talking of a substancial gain in performance.

Oh sorry I forgot. I have an R7 260X, 8GB Ram, windows 8.1, 1600x900 (native)

Not yet, when you decide to upgrade the GPU, consider getting a newer CPU then, as you'll not have significant performance gains, but if you got the budget, even the couple extra frames are worth it.

Ok, thanks. I'm good with the r7 260x, so that means I won't be upgrading my cpu at least for now.
