Hey There,

I have a problem with my pc. I cant hear anything from my speakers and headphones also.
I did a sound test and it shows that the sound is coming but i dont hear it. Also i played a soundtrack, but it just showed that it is playing (even in the mixer it showed that its playing)

I have checked all the obvious things like wires ports etc.

I have tried everything:
changed from rear port to front ports
uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled.
installed realtek drivers.
Restarted my pc.

My specs are:
Windows 7 64 bit
motherboard - Gigabyte Ultra Durable H61M-DS2
Intel Core I3 3210 3.2 Ghz
4GB RAM
Direct X 11
GPU - AMD Radeon HD 7770

I dont know what the problem is. Please Help.

Powered speakers turned on and volume up? Plugged into the green port? Sorry, have to cover the basics first.

Perhaps hdmi is set to default. Should be realtek. Go into control panel, sounds, playback.

Found The Answer !!

My sound card stopped functioning because of a recent power failure. It was a hardware fault all along.

Bought an external usb sound card and the sound came on.

Thanks for the reply though.
