What do you need 6 cores for specifically? The 3770k is a pretty great gaming processor already.

Yea,I've read that the PC is used for gaming. :p
You do NOT need a better CPU for gaming. Better to spend that money on a better graphics cards, like the GTX 970 or 980.

You could possibly think about this. It's a video from the YouTuber jackfrags and he's always been fairly decent in the past. It's supposed to be a budget and at the moment, it's around £450:

well this new game released on steam "ryse son of rome" I can max everything but as soon as i touch supersampling my game has lags, and it recomends to have atleast a cpu with 6+ logical cores.

Why do you think my gpu is the issue?? i play on 1080p graphics with a 4gig card?? Isnt that already overkill??

And i use the pc for pure gaming, nothing more...and i am a graphics hog. If i cant play a game at maxed settings, i will make a plan to play it at max settings even if i have to upgrade my rig

The GPU isn't bad,but the GTX 970 will be a nice little upgrade. ;)
The i7 3770K is a great gaming/editing CPU. I don't see the point of getting a new CPU and MoBo all because of one game.

so up my gpu then?? is that a fix to my problem or is that just a good gpu to go with?? Do you own one?? And also will it work on my currents mobo?? and i only have a 620watt antec psu....

And besides, how much of a diffrince would i even see with the GTX 970 compared to my GTX 770 4gig?? Cause it will be a waste to upgrade my gpu to the 970 if im only gonna notice little things that i dont even notice without having to look and search for it

The 970 is ~35% more powerful than the GTX 770,so it'll be a nice upgrade.
And the Antec 620W is gonna be enough for the 970. Is it the Antec HCG 620?

And it's on you to decide now if you want a new MoBo+CPU or a new GPU. ;)

No its the antec neogeo? Dont know if thats what you want to know?? At the moment i got a H77M mobo and i use the slowest ram frequency. If i want to up my ram frequency i would go to a 1600 cause i am using 1333 frequency.

Is there a huge diff between 1333 and 1600 frequency? Would i notice a diff in boot up times and such?? Also if i upgrade my mobo to a Z** board, wont i be able to use better components like faster ram and cpu?

Also, what board is better than the H77M board, but can still use my cpu socket?

There is very little to no difference between 1333 and 2400 MHz RAM,so I'm guessing that it's the same deal with 1333 and 1600 MHz RAM. ;)
The Antec NEO 620W is a great quality PSU,no need to change it.
If you change to a Z77 board, you will be able to overclock your 3770K,whereas you can't do that with your H77M board.
I wouldn't get a Z77 board unless you want to overclock your 3770K.

does my cpu make use of hyperthreading and turbo mode if i enable it in bios?? or does it need the z77 board for it to use it?

Hyperthreading is there no matter what MoBo you 'ave.

mmmm oky, so i guess i will just up my gpu then as thats the only common thing where i can increase my performance
